At Ascot Stud we take pride in our mares as they are all daughters of world renowned sires such as Strinesdale Matador (UK), Keston Royal Occasion (Imp UK - Dec), Rotherwood Acrobat (Imp UK), Sir Percy of Paxhall (Imp UK - Dec), Downland Chevalier (UK) to name a few. Our show ponies combine beauty with performance, not easily found in today's ponies.
A competitive pony or horse needs a willing, kind & happy attitude towards the world of competition. This is why we have tried and tested performance bred mares and stallions as today's demanding show circuit requires. We believe that neither mare nor stallion should be bred from if they have little to give to their owner and rider.
There is no satisfaction in aiming to breed only second best.
Ascot Stud is located at Sunbury which is a suburb to the north west of Melbourne in Australia and is only 20 minutes from Melbourne International Airport.
We specialise in the showing and breeding of quality Riding Ponies, Welsh Ponies, and Arabian Riding Ponies.
We breed Royal Show quality ponies and are a small select stud.

What a dream 2010 Royal Melbourne Horse Show the stud had.
We exhibited 3 of our youngstock bringing home a total of
2 Supreme Championships, 2 Championships, 2 Res Championships,
6 class wins and a 5th place from 7 classes contested.
